2017 Fruits of the Spirit Series: Peace and Patience

Hi y’all! I feel like I’m starting to sound like a broken record when I say things like “I meant to have this post up last week, BUT….”. But really. Life happens. Holidays happen. Family happens. And as much as I LOVE this series, I had to let it go on the back burner for a few days while tending to some higher priorities. Isn’t that life in a nutshell- figuring out how to reprioritize on a daily, if not sometimes, hourly basis? And that skill (that I have yet to fully master) takes a lot of patience! And then it takes the ability to have peace with whatever decision you made. We can’t please everyone. One yes to somebody means a required no to somebody else. And that’s okay.

Enjoy the recipes below that are filled with peace (lavender, honey and other soothing ingredients) and then some lovely overnight or slow-cooker recipes that take a patience while they cook (not necessarily a lot of hands-on time), but are so worth the wait!

Peace

Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
